Understanding Food Intolerance: The Difference Between Allergies and Intolerances

CREATED BY JACQUE JONES

Food intolerance is common issue affecting many people in the UK. It can cause uncomfortable symptoms. It is often difficult to diagnose. However it is important to understand that there is significant difference between food allergies and intolerances. Both can cause adverse reactions to certain foods. Yet, they are not the same. We will explore the key differences between allergies and intolerances.

Food Intolerance's Allergy verses Intolerances whats the Difference

Food intolerance, Belly aches and discomfort, Avoidance brings peace

Food intolerance and food allergies are often used interchangeably. However they are two distinct conditions with different causes, symptoms and treatments. Food allergies arise from an immune system response to food. This is unlike food intolerances which are a digestive system response to certain foods. Understanding the difference between these conditions is crucial. It is essential for managing your health and well-being.

Food Allergies:

Food allergies occur when the immune system mistakenly identifies a particular food as harmful. It produces an immune response to fight it off. This response triggers the release of histamine and other chemicals. These can cause a range of symptoms such as hives swelling, itching and difficulty breathing. In severe cases food allergies can lead to anaphylaxis, a life-threatening allergic reaction.

The most common food allergens in the UK include peanuts tree nuts, shellfish fish, eggs milk, soy and wheat. These allergies can develop at any age. They are most commonly diagnosed in childhood. It is important to note that food allergies can be severe and even small amount of the allergen can trigger a reaction.

Food Intolerances:

On the other hand food intolerances stem from the body's inability to properly digest or process certain foods. This can be due to lack of specific enzymes. It can also be because of an intolerance to certain food components. Unlike food allergies, food intolerances do not involve the immune system. They are not life-threatening. However they can still cause unpleasant symptoms. These include bloating, abdominal pain diarrhea and nausea.

Lactose intolerance is a common food intolerance in the UK. It occurs when the body does not produce enough lactase, an enzyme needed to break down lactose, the sugar found in milk and dairy products. Other common food intolerances include gluten intolerance and fructose intolerance. And histamine intolerance.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

Diagnosing food allergies and intolerances can be challenging as their symptoms overlap. Specific Bioresonance tests can help identify the cause of adverse reactions. For food allergies skin prick tests and blood tests are commonly used. Food intolerances are done with bioresonance, and also can be diagnosed through elimination diets. Breath tests are also helpful. Avoiding allergens altogether is the most effective way to manage food allergies, but first, we need to know the type of food causing the issues. This can mean reading food labels. Avoid cross-contamination. In severe cases, carrying an epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen) is necessary in case of accidental exposure. For food intolerances, avoiding the offending food is also recommended. Some people may be able to tolerate small amounts without experiencing symptoms. It is important to note there is no cure for food allergies, but learning ways to manage it, but food intolerances can be desensitized with bioresonance and avoidance. They can develop at any time. Work with a healthcare professional to properly manage these conditions.

Food allergies and intolerances are two distinct conditions that can cause adverse reactions to certain foods. Food allergies involve the immune system and can be life-threatening. Food intolerances are a digestive system response. They are not life-threatening. Proper diagnosis and management are crucial for maintaining health and well-being. If you suspect that you may have food intolerance seek medical advice. It helps to properly identify the cause and develop a suitable treatment plan.

Based in UK & France

I married a wonderful man 30 yrs ago who then not long after we married, had a work injury, we had to give up our business as he was no longer able to do it, I became his full-time carer for over 4 years whilst he was unable to walk.

We have 2 girls, the youngest with a Neurological functional disorder.

Our oldest was the reason I became a Bioresonance Practitioner.

I am really passionate about bioresonance as I have seen the amazing results it has done for my family and friends & have to share this with others,

We originally moved to France over 10 years ago & then back to the UK to get our youngest daughter the needed medical help as Brexit was proving to make things difficult.

We are now back in France 🇫🇷  since we sold that House & moved due to a neighbour from Hell to the Charente.

We have bought a 300yr old cottage and plan to turn it into a small wellness retreat & re-established my business, hmmm might take some time

I trained in Bioresonance over 10yrs ago, WHY?

Have you ever had that feeling when someone is suffering

so many doors are closed

As a parent, that feeling is desperate, not knowing where to find the solution.

That's where we were over 10 yrs ago.

Frequency Medicine was our answer!

Don’t worry I hadn’t heard of it either until then …. in my research, I discovered about Bioresonance; We decided we needed to find out more.

I then sent off a test to see my results, and I was so blown away by them.

As time passed, I added the Emotional Freedom Technique, Swedish massage & Aromatherapy and different massage therapies.

Because My Passion is to help people find solutions to their health concerns as I did for My Family

Life has been a rollercoaster & at times extremely difficult, something we have learnt along the way is never to give up no matter how tough it gets.
